What Headlight Polishing includes.
Headlight lenses are made of polycarbonate with a factory UV coating. After 5โ8 years in the Texas sun, that coating breaks down and the plastic underneath oxidizes โ turning yellow, hazy, and drastically cutting your night visibility. Our three-stage restoration starts with progressive wet-sanding (three grits), moves to a cutting compound and finishing polish, then seals everything with a UV-blocking clear sealant rated for 12+ months. Both headlights are included. The difference in night driving clarity is immediate and measurable.

Why do headlights turn yellow in the first place?
The factory UV coating on the polycarbonate lens breaks down over 5โ8 years in the sun. Texas summers accelerate it. Once the coating fails, the plastic underneath oxidizes โ that is the yellow haze.
How long does the restoration last?
The UV sealant we apply is rated for 12+ months. Beyond that, a quick re-seal keeps them clear. Without it, oxidation usually starts coming back inside a year.
Is headlight restoration permanent?
The restoration itself removes the damage permanently. However, the UV sealant that protects the lens lasts about 12 months before it needs reapplication. We offer an annual re-seal service to maintain clarity.
Should I just replace my headlights instead?
OEM headlight assemblies can cost $200โ$800+ each. Restoration costs a fraction and delivers the same optical clarity. Replacement only makes sense if the lens is cracked or the internal components have failed.
Can you do fog lights too?
Yes โ fog light restoration is available as an add-on. Same three-stage process, same UV sealant. We will quote it when you book.
